At BarMadeBags, I make other, bag-related, products, all with the same ethos of using as much upcycled fabric as possible in order for them to be eco-friendly and unique.

Needle Cases

With an increasing interest in sewing and mending, needle cases are becoming more popular.  For me, these are a useful way of using up some smaller offcuts of fabric while creating a keepsake item that features patchwork, appliques, beautiful vintage fabric or ribbon weaving.

These are some examples of ones that I have made and although most are currently out of stock please contact me if you'd like a similar one to be made for you.  The cost is £15 (+ P & P)

Jewellery Rolls

This neat way to keep your jewellery safe when travelling was suggested to me by one of my customers and I have sold several and made a collection to order as part of a larger project that you can read about in this blog.

I now only have the one with the applqued red hearts available: if you are interested in purchasing it or would like a different one making for you, please contact me.

Each roll is padded and has two zipped compartments for necklaces and two strips which fasten with a press stud and are designed for your rings, earrings and brooches

Luggage tags

If you are one of the many people who has a case that looks remarkably similar to lots of others, here's a way to make it easily identifiable and quick to spot at baggage reclaim or on a train luggage rack or the luggage storage on a coach.

Each brightly coloured patchwork luggage tag that I make is different and can be securely fitted to your case and used over and over again.  You can choose to have one that opens and has a hidden card inside on which you can write your name and/or address, or a closed one.  If you'd like to have a closed one machine embroidered with your name or initials, contact me - details in General Information.

Here's a lovely review from a happy customer who bought two luggage tags:

"I saw the luggage labels on the website. They were colourful and standout, which was exactly what I wanted. They were easy to attach to both my suitcase and hand luggage. On the luggage reclaim at the airport several similar cases to mine went past but the label stood out very well. Made it much easier to find my suitcase.
I decided to have a similar one on the hand luggage, just because I wanted my luggage to match."

Hand Sanitiser Pouches

I introduced these hand sanitiser pouches when Covid was first a major concern, but  carrying around a small bottle of hand sanitiser isn't seen as being as necessary now.

However, if, like me, you still want somewhere to carry a small bottle of hand sanitiser so that it's easily accessible for when you've finished your shopping, opened or closed a door or gate, or any of the miriad of other occasions when we need to make sure our hands aren't contaminated with germs or virus, you will find these small handy pouches that clip onto a bag or belt carrier ideal.  Contact me directly if you'd like one..

Although the colours and appliques that are on the featured pouches might not still be available, I can make what you require as long as I still have some of the original fabric left.
